- Bright Field
- Creole Queen Photo - an excursion boat. When the Bright Field first lost power it was headed at her, then later toward the Riverwalk. We have established a Creole Queen Page with more information about this craft.
- Flamingo Casino boat, was listed as the Flaming Casino boat early in the news reports. Is the Hilton Flamingo Casino. Was nearly missed in the crash. We have established A Hilton Flamingo Casino Riverboat Page with additional background information about this boat.
- Nieuw Amsterdam - cruise boat nearly missed in the crash
- Enchanted Isle - cruise ship in the area with Nieuw Amsterdam (Dec 15 article)
- Louisiana - 1st Crescent Towing tug on the scene
- Mississippi- another Crescent Towing tug on the scene
- Texas - another Crescent Towing tug on the scene
- Norde Jahre Target - Norwegian Tanker that Times-Picayune took a ride downriver with for a news story
- Un-named tug in near collision with Bright Field one hour before crash near Huey P. Long Bridge

- Kabby Sports Bar & Restaurant - part of Hilton Hotel Riverside Complex
- The Former 1984 World's Fair International Building houses part of the Riverwalk including the Food Court

- Governor Nicholls Wharf - site of Governor Nick
- Governor Nick - Coast Guard bird nest, turn signal over the river
- Gretna - Coast Guard bird nest, turn signal over the river
- Crescent City Connection - bridge over the river the Bright Field went under just prior to crash
- Algiers Point - next bend in the river, is site of Algiers Landing Restaurant that also "hang out over the water". Is built on top of the World War II era Bermuda Street Wharf.
- Esplanada Avenue Wharf - after the accident, cruise ships using the Riverwalk berths and the Julia Street Passenger Terminal were asked to stage life boat drills after they pass this wharf
- Patterson Street - HQ for Crescent Towing
- Constanance Street - location of Stella Maris Maritime Center (Catholic Church owned part of Apostolate of the Sea) that took aid to the crew.
- Super Dome - site of many major events including this years Sugar Bowl and Super Bowl. Draws large crowds to the Riverwalk.
- Huey P. Long Bridge - Bright Field passed under it and almost hit a tug less that an hour before the crash.

- Westwego - the tugboat Louisiana had just finished a job there and was coming back to the dock for fuel when she was right Behind the Bright Field at the crash
- La Place - Bright Field was there hours before the accident. She failed to start twice here. One story says she loaded the corn here, another says the corn was loaded in Terre Haute IN
- Reserve Anchorage - where Bright Field was repaired Friday night before the crash. One of many repair places along the river. see 12/16 news article.
- Violet - Bright Field taken to shipyard there with tugs for repairs

- Reston Virginia - home of the Liberian Maritime Office which registered the Bright Field
- Terre Haute IN - one story say the corn was loaded here at a Cargill Inc facility (Dec 17 grain article), another says it was loaded in La Place LA.
